Hi friends. This will be one of the most difficult posts I've posted in awhile.

I have hard news...

​

I went to Alaska, and seven days into trip I was hiking and I had a hard time breathing.

My lungs were hurting. I thought maybe I might have some Covid affecting my respiratory.

 

Seven days later on Sunday, July 16 I got home. Took a Covid test and it was negative.

Because I was feeling chest pain, dizzy and heart racing, my brother decided to take me to ER. After a CAT scan and chest x-ray the ER doctor walked in and said, "you have cancer in your lungs!" Then they found 1400 milliliters of fluid in my lungs, which they drained out with a needle and tube through my back. Since then I've done it every 4/5 days... 6 times altogether.

 

It's been a hard 21 days since.

Lots of procedures, tests and biopsies.

Finally met with the oncologist on Tuesday, August 1st and here is the latest:

The cancer is rare, aggressive, and time is of the essence. There is no cure (set treatment protocol) for this very rare cancer. The general name of the cancer is Uterine sarcoma, It has spread to the lungs. They will be treating it with chemotherapy starting this Tuesday August 8th. In the meantime they put a chest tube in me which will allow me to drain the fluid from my lungs. It has been difficult and hard, but I will continue to thank God for the days I've had and the days I will continue to have...

Sorry for letting you know now... I didn't want to put you on my emotional roller coaster ride until I knew more.
